Euleia heraclei (Linnaeus, 1758); White, 1988: 60. Handbk ident. Br. Ins. 10(5a): 24, 37.

Larva: Mandibles with two teeth (Nederlandse bladmineerders).

Puparium: Yellow; anterior spiracle openings arranged in large arcs, not elevated on a fan-like structure; posterior spiracles each with a central opening of similar size to the lateral openings (White, 1988: 60). The puparium is illustrated by Ellis (Nederlandse bladmineerders).

Comments: Records of Pegomyia versicolor on Heracleum (Robbins, 1991) and ? H. sphondylium (Ackland, 1978: 228) are discounted by Griffiths (1982) as probable misidentifications of the tephritid Euleia heraclei.
