Distribution in Britain: Surrey (Bookham), Hunts (Woodwalton Fen), Oxford (Oxford) (Spencer, 1972b: 52), Warwick (Rugby (Spencer, 1972b: 52; Binley and Foleshill (Robbins, 1991: 140)) and Somerset (NBN Gateway distribution map - BRERC).

Distribution elsewhere: Widespread in Europe, but uncommon. Recorded from Germany, Italy and Sweden (Spencer, 1976: 262), Belgium (Nederlandse bladmineerders), Austria, Belarus, Czech Republic, Estonia, French mainland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norwegian mainland, Poland, Slovakia and Spanish mainland (Martinez in Fauna Europaea).

Parasitoids: Unknown.
