AGROPYRON. [Poaceae]

Two species of Agropyron are recorded in Britain - A. cristatum and A. desertorum. Both are introduced.

Although numerous miners have been recorded on Agropyron in Great Britain, these records are assumed here to refer to Elymus.

See ELYMUS.

Elsewhere the agromyzids Agromyza ambigua, Agromyza lucida, Agromyza nigripes, Agromyza nigrociliata, Cerodontha denticornis, Cerodontha flavocingulata, Cerodontha incisa, Cerodontha. lateralis, Cerodontha muscina, Cerodontha pygmaea, Cerodontha superciliosa, Chromatomyia nigra, Liriomyza phryne and Liriomyza sativae are recorded mining Agropyron (Spencer, 1990).

No non-dipterous miners are recorded on Agropyron in Britain.
