ALYSSUM. Alisons. [Brassicaceae]


Ten species of Alyssum are recorded in Britain. All are introduced and include Small Alison (A. alyssoides), Mountain Alison (A. montanum) and Golden Alison (A. saxatile).

No dipterous miners are recorded on Alyssum in Britain.

Elsewhere the plyphagous agromyzids Liriomyza strigata and Liromyza huidobrensis and the polyphagous drosophilid Scaptomyza flava are recorded mining Alyssum.

No non-dipterous miners are recorded on Alyssum in Britain.
