ANODA. Spurred Anoda. [Malvaceae]


Only one species of Anoda is recorded in Britain, the introduced Spurred Anoda (A. cristata).

No dipterous miners are recorded on Anoda in Britain.

The agromyzid Liriomyza sativae, a polyphagous pest species of ornamental and vegetable crops occasionally intercepted at UK points of entry, is recorded on Anoda.

Elsewhere the polyphagous agromyzids Chromatomyia horticola, Liriomyza sativae and Liriomyza strigata are recorded mining Anoda.

No non-dipterous miners are recorded on Anoda in Britain.
