ARNOSERIS. Lamb's Succory. [Asteraceae]


Only one species of Arnoseris is recorded in Britain - Lamb's Succory (A. minima). It is native.

Only one dipterous miner, Chromatomyia syngenesiae, is recorded on Arnoseris in Britain.

Elsewhere the agromyzids Chromatomyia syngenesiae and Liriomyza taraxaci are recorded mining Arnoseris.

No non-dipterous miners are recorded on Arnoseris in Britain.

1> Mine linear, whitish, both upper and lower surface. Pupation internal, at the end of the mine. Puparium white or more rarely darker, brownish, with the anterior spiracles projecting through the epidermis
