BLACKSTONIA. Yellow-wort. [Gentianaceae]


Yellow-wort (B. perfoliata) is the only species of Blackstonia recorded in Britain.

Only one dipterous miner, the agromyzid Chromatomyia blackstoniae, is recorded on Blackstonia in Britain.

Elsewhere the agromyzids Chromatomyia blackstoniae and Chromatomyia gentianae is recorded mining Blackstonia.

One non-dipterous leaf-miner is recorded on Blackstonia in Britain (see below).
