BUDDLEJA. Butterfly-bush. [Buddlejaceae]

Five species of Buddleja are recorded in Britain. All are introduced. These include Alternate-leaved Butterfly-bush (B. alternifolia), Butterfly-bush (B. davidii), Weyer's Butterly-bush (B. davidii x weyeriana) and Orange-ball-tree (B. globosa).

Only one dipterous miner, the agromyzid Amauromyza verbasci, is recorded from Buddleja in Britain and this is also recorded on Scrophularia and Verbascum.

See SCROPHULARIA.

Elsewhere the agromyzid Amauromyza verbasci is recorded mining Buddleja.

No non-dipterous miners are recorded on Buddleja in Britain
