CELOSIA. [Amaranthaceae]


Two species of Celosia are recorded in Britain. Both are introduced.

No dipterous miners are recorded on Celosia in Britain.

The agromyzid Liriomyza trifolii, a polyphagous pest species of ornamental and vegetable crops occasionally intercepted at UK points of entry, are recorded on Celosia.

Elsewhere the agromyzids Liriomyza bryoniae, Liriomyza huidobrensis and Liriomyza trifolii are recorded mining Celosia.

No non-dipterous miners are recorded on Celosia in Britain.
