CETERACH. Rustyback. [Aspleniaceae]

Only one species of Ceterach, the native Rustyback (C. officinarum), is recorded in Britain.

Only one dipterous miner, the agromyzid Chromatomyia scolopendri, is recorded on Ceterach in Britain, and this also occurs on Asplenium, Phyllitis and Polypodium.

See POLYPODIUM.

Elsewhere the agromyzid Phytoliriomyza dorsata is recorded on Ceterach. The larvae are almost certainly not leaf-miners but probably feed internally either in stems of flower-heads.

One non-dipterous leaf-miner is recorded on Ceterach in Britain.
