CHAEROPHYLLUM. Chervils. [Apiaceae]

Four species of Chaerophyllum are recorded in Britain. These included the native Rough Chervil (C. temulum) and the introduced Broad-leaved Chervil (C. aromaticum), Golden Chervil (C. aureum) and Hairy Chervil (C. hirsutum).

Only one dipterous miner, the agromyzid Phytomyza chaerophylli, is recorded on Chaerophyllum in Britain and elsewhere and this is also recorded on Conopodium, Daucus, Torilis and possibly Sison in Britain.

See DAUCUS.

No non-dipterous miners are recorded on Chaerophyllum Britain.

Elsewhere one British non-dipterous miner is recorded on Chaerophyllum.
