DATURA. Thorn-apples and Angel's-trumpets. [Solanaceae]


Four species of Datura are recorded in Britain, all introduced.

No dipterous miners are recorded on Datura in Britain.

The agromyzids Liriomyza huidobrensis, Liriomyza sativae and Liriomyza trifolii, polyphagous pest species of ornamental and vegetable crops occasionally intercepted at UK points of entry, are recorded on Datura.

Elsewhere the agromyzids Liriomyza huidobrensis, Liriomyza sativae, Liriomyza bryoniae and Liriomyza trifolii and the anthomyiid Pegomya hyoscyami are recorded mining Datura.

No non-dipterous miners are recorded on Datura in Britain.
