DESMODIUM. Slender Tick-trefoil. [Fabaceae]


Only one species of Desmodium is recorded in Britain, the introduced Slender Tick-trefoil (D. varians).

No miners have been recorded on Desmodium in Britain.

The agromyzid Liriomyza sativae, a polyphagous pest species of ornamental and vegetable crops occasionally intercepted at UK points of entry, is recorded on Desmodium.

Elsewhere the agromyzid Liriomyza sativae is recorded mining Desmodium.

No non-dipterous miners are recorded on Desmodium in Britain.
