FILAGO. Cudweeds. [Asteraceae]


Seven species of Filago are recorded in Britain. These include the native Red-tipped Cudweed (F. lutescens), Small Cudweed (F. minima), Broad-leaved Cudweed (F. pyramidata) and Common Cudweed (F. vulgaris).

No dipterous miners are recorded on Filago in Britain.

Elsewhere the agromyzids Chromatomyia 'atricornis' and Liriomyza strigata are recorded mining Filago.

No non-dipterous miners are recorded on Filago in Britain.
