FRAGARIA. Strawberries. [Rosaceae]

Four species of Fragaria are recorded in Britain. These include the native Wild Strawberry (F. vesca).

Two dipterous miners, the agromyzids Agromyza idaeina and Agromyza sulfuriceps, are recorded on Fragaria in Britain, although the record of sulfuriceps, requires confirmation. A single key to the dipterous miners of Rosaceae is provided.

See AGRIMONIA.

Elsewhere the agromyzids Agromyza idaeina and Agromyza sulfuriceps are recorded mining Fragaria.

Eight non-dipterous miners are recorded on Fragaria in Britain.
