GLAUCIUM. Horned-poppies. [Papaveraceae]

Three species of Glaucium are recorded in Britain. These include the native Yellow Horned-poppy (G. flavum).

No Diptera miners are recorded on Glaucium in Britain.

Elsewhere the agromyzids Chromatomyia horticola and Liriomyza strigata are recorded mining Glaucium.

No non-Diptera miners are recorded on Glaucium in Britain.

A key to the European miners, based on characteristics of the mines, immature stages and where relevant the larval cases, recorded on Glaucium is provided in Bladmineerders van Europa. This includes Chromatomyia horticola, Liriomyza strigata, Cnephasia lineata and Cnephasia stephensiana.
