HESPERIS. Dame's-violet. [Brassicaceae]

Two species of Hesperis recorded in Britain. Both are introduced and include Dame's-violet (H. matronalis).

Two dipterous miners, the agromyzid Chromatomyia horticola and possibly the drosophilid Scaptomyza flava, are recorded on Hesperis in Britain.

See BRASSICA.

Elsewhere the agromyzids Liriomyza bryoniae and Liriomyza strigata are recorded mining Hesperis.

No non-dipterous miners are recorded on Hesperis in Britain.
