MELICA. Slough-grasses. [Poaceae]


Four species of Melica are recorded in Britain. These include the native Mountain Melick (M. nutans) and the Wood Melick (M. uniflora).

No dipterous miners are recorded on Melica in Britain.

Elsewhere the agromyzids Chromatomyia fuscula and Chromatomyia nigra are recorded mining Melica.

No non-dipterous miner are recorded on Melica in Britain.

Elsewhere seven British non-dipterous miners are recorded on Melica.
