Only one species of Melittis is recorded in Britain, the native Bastard Balm (M. melissophyllum).

No dipterous miners are recorded on Melittis in Britain.

Elsewhere the agromyzid Amauromyza labiatarum is recorded mining Melittis.

No non-dipterous miners are recorded on Melittis in Britain.
