MOEHRINGIA. Three-nerved Sandwort [Caryophyllaceae]


Three-nerved Sandwort (M. trinervia) is the only species of Moehringia recorded in Britain. It is a native species.

Only one dipterous miner, the agromyzid Ophiomyia melandricaulis, is recorded on Moehringia in Britain.

Elsewhere the agromyzid Amauromyza flavifrons and Ophiomyia melandricaulis and the drosophilid Scaptomyza graminum are recorded mining Moehringia.

No non-dipterous miners are recorded on Moehringia in Britain.
