NARCISSUS. Daffodils and Narcissus. [Liliaceae]


Ten species of Narcissus are recorded in Britain. These included the native Daffodil (N. pseudonarcissus) and the introduced Hoop-petticoat Daffodil (N. bulbocodium), Cyclamen-flowered Daffodil (N. cyclamineus), Lesser Daffodil (N. minor), Paper-white Daffodil (N. papyraceus), Pheasant's-eye Daffodil (N. poeticus), Bunch-flowered Daffodil (N. tazetta) and Angel's-tears (Narcissus triandrus).

Only one dipterous miner, the scathophagid Norellia spinipes, is recorded on Narcissus in Britain.

No non-dipterous miners are recorded on Narcissus in Britain.
