Twenty five species and hybrids of Oenothera are recorded in Britain. These include the introduced Common Evening-primrose (O. biennis).

No dipterous miners are recorded on Oenothera in Britain.

The agromyzid Liriomyza sativae, a polyphagous pest species of ornamental and vegetable crops occasionally intercepted at UK points of entry, is recorded on Oenothera.

Elsewhere the agromyzid Liriomyza sativae is recorded mining Oenothera.

No non-dipterous miners are recorded on Oenothera in Britain.
