Only one species of Ricinus, the introduced Castor-oil-plant (R. communis) is recorded in Britain.

No dipterous miners are recorded on Ricinus in Britain.

Elsewhere the agromyzids Liriomyza strigata, Liriomyza huidobrensis, Liriomyza sativae and Liriomyza trifolii is recorded on Ricinus.

No non-dipterous miners are recorded on Ricinus in Britain.
