Only one species of Salpiglossis, the introduced Painted-tongue (S. sinuata), is recorded in Britain.

No dipterous miners are recorded on Salpiglossis in Britain.

Elsewhere the agromyzid Liriomyza bryoniae is recorded on Salpiglossis.

No non-dipterous miners are recorded on Salpiglossis in Britain.
