SANGUISORBA. Burnets. [Rosaceae]


Three species of Sanguisorba are recorded in Britain. These include the native Salad Burnet (S. minor) and Great Burnet (S. officinalis) and the introduced White Burnet (S. canadensis).

Three dipterous miners, the agromyzids Agromyza filipendulae, Agromyza idaeina and Agromyza. sulfuriceps, are recorded on Sanguisorba in Britain. A single key to the miners of Rosaceae is provided.
