SPARTIUM. Spanish Broom. [Fabaceae]


Only one species of Spartium is recorded in Britain, Spanish Broom (S. junceum), and this is introduced.

Two dipterous miners, the agromyzids Agromyza johannae and Agromyza pulla, are recorded on Spartium in Britain.

Elsewhere the agromyzids Agromyza johannae and Agromyza pulla are recorded mining Spartium.

No non-dipterous miners are recorded on Spartium in Britain.
