SYMPHORICARPOS. Snowberry and Coralberry. [Caprifoliaceae]


Three species of Symphoricarpos have been introduced to Britain. All are introduced and include Snowberry (S. albus) and Coralberry (S. orbiculatus).

Six dipterous miners, the agromyzids Aulagromyza cornigera, Aulagromyza hendeliana, Chromatomyia aprilina, Chromatomyia lonicerae, Chromatomyia periclymeni and Aulagromyza luteoscutellata are recorded on Caprifoliaceae in Britain.

Elsewhere the agromyzids Aulagromyza cornigera, Aulagromyza hendeliana, Aulagromyza luteoscutellata, Chromatomyia aprilina, Chromatomyia lonicerae and Chromatomyia periclymeni are recorded mining Symphoricarpos.

Four non-dipterous miners are recorded on Symphoricarpos in Britain (see below).
