THLASPI. Penny-cresses. [Brassicaceae]


Five species of Thlaspi are recorded in Britain. These include the native Field Penny-cress (T. arvense), Alpine Penny-cress (T. caerulescens) and Perfoliate Penny-cress (T. perfoliatum).

The agromyzid Chromatomyia horticola is recorded on Thlaspi in Britain

The agromyzid Liriomyza trifolii, a polyphagous pest species of ornamental and vegetable crops occasionally intercepted at UK points of entry, is recorded on Thlaspi.

Elsewhere the agromyzids Liriomyza strigata and Liriomyza trifolii and the drosophilid Scaptomyza flava are recorded mining Thlaspi.

No non-dipterous leaf miners are recorded on Thlaspi in Britain.
