TRIBULUS. Small Caltrops. [Asteraceae]


Only one species of Tribulus is recorded in Britain, the introduced Small Caltrops (T. terrestris).

No dipterous miners are recorded on Tribulus in Britain.

The agromyzid Liriomyza trifolii, a pest species of ornamental and vegetable crops occasionally intercepted at UK points of entry, is recorded on Tribulus. The species has been found under glass in England and Wales. All populations have been and continue to be eradicated.

Elsewehere the agromyzid Liriomyza trifolii is recorded mining Tribulus.

No non-dipterous miners are recorded on Tribulus in Britain.
