Two species of Verbesina are recorded in Britain. Both are introduced. No dipterous miners are recorded on Verbesina in Britain. The agromyzid Liriomyza sativae, a polyphagous pest species of ornamental and vegetable crops occasionally intercepted at UK points of entry, is recorded on Verbesina. Elsewhere the agromyzid Liriomyza sativae is recorded mining Verbesina. No non-dipterous miners are recorded on Verbesina in Britain.
