XANTHIUM. Cockleburs. [Asteraceae]


Three species of Xanthium are recorded in Britain. All are introduced.

No dipterous miners are recorded on Xanthium in Britain.

Elsewhere the agromyzids Chromatomyia 'atricornis', Liriomyza pusilla, Liriomyza strigata and Liriomyza trifolii are recorded mining Xanthium.

No non-dipterous miners are recorded on Xanthium in Britain.
