Coleophora trochilella (Duponchel, 1843).

Leaf-miner and case-bearer: A straw-coloured, slender, three-valved tubular silken case, about 10 mm long. Mouth angle 45° to 60°. Perhaps because of the plant's dense felt cover, the case is attached with much silk, giving the holes a conspicuous white margin (Bladmineerders van Europa).

Larva: The larva is illustrated in (Bladmineerders van Europa).

Pupa: Details unknown.

Adult: The adult is illustrated in UKMoths. The male and female genitalia are illustrated by the Lepidoptera Dissection Group.
