Leaf-mine: A 'snail-trail'-like mine on the upper surface, long and sinuous, with a dark central frass trail, ending at the leaf margin (British leafminers). The mine is also illustrated in Nederlandse bladmineerders.

Larva: Details unknown.

Pupa: Under a silk membrane on the margin of leaf (British leafminers).The pupa is illustrated in Nederlandse bladmineerders.

Distribution elsewhere: Widespread in Europe including Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Danish mainland, French mainland, Germany, ? Hungary, Italian mainland, Poland, ? Portuguese mainland, Romania, Slovakia, Spanish mainland, Switzerland and The Netherlands. Also recorded in Near East (Karsholt & van Nieukerken in Fauna Europaea).

Parasitoids: Unknown.
