Leaf-mine: An early gallery filled with frass, later leaving clear margins, finally a blotch (British leafminers). The nine is also illustrated in Nederlandse bladmineerders.

Larva: Larva amber, head and faint ventral spots, brown (British leafminers).

Pupa: Details unknown.
