Leaf-mine: The larval mine is a long gallery with linear black frass to begin with, subsequently neatly scattered, and finally more central and irregular. The egg is usually laid on the underside of the leaf (UKMoths).

(Karsholt & van Nieukerken in Fauna Europaea) including Berks, Dunbarton, East Kent, Hunts, Main Argyll, North Aberdeen, North Devon, Salop, South Essex, South Hants, South Wilts, Stafford, Stirling, West Perth and Worcester (NBN Gateway distribution map - JNCC, NE, NESBRC and SNH).

Also doubtfully recorded in the Republic of Ireland (Karsholt & van Nieukerken in Fauna Europaea).

Distribution elsewhere: Europe including Danish mainland, Finland, French mainland, Germany, Greek mainland, Hungary, Italian mainland, Latvia, Norwegian mainland, Slovakia, Sweden and The Netherlands (Karsholt & van Nieukerken in Fauna Europaea).

Parasitoids: Unknown.
