12-July-2019 - Links to Ichneumoidea parasitoids removed

All (nearly a thousand) links to Ichneumonoid parasitoids on the pages of this website to Dicky Yu's Taxapad have been removed as the later website no longer exists. The following is taken from the Internet Archive Way Back Machine:-

Taxapad 2012 is a relational database of 343,386 scientific names, mostly from Lepidoptera, Hymenoptera and other groups that are associated with Ichneumonoidea and Chalcidoidea, taken from various recent and past references. The scientific names are divided into 25 taxonomic groups, each with its own indexes and hierarchical listings.

Ichneumonoidea 2011 and Chalcidoidea 2001 are two modules that use Taxapad as a framework for presenting referenced information. The listing function in Taxapad can be used to list taxa or references pertaining to any subject (for example country, or host), or to list subjects pertaining to any taxa. Distribution data of any taxa can be viewed graphically at any of the three projections and four scales available. By using the list to file function, any of the listings can be downloaded to a text file for use in other applications. The  33,076 references in Ichneumonoidea 2012 and  43,095 references in Chalcidoidea 2001 can be edited using Refind or can be used with Taxapad to list references by subject, so that bibliography can be easily downloaded in any format aided by a format wizard.

Taxapad is a notepad for biologists because it allows biologists to append personal notes (text, images and sound files) to any of the scientific names. With the designation of key-phrases, the search function of the Taxapad can act as a simple identification tool (https://web.archive.org/web/20150708032822/http://www.taxapad.com/taxapadmain.php)

07-July-2019 - Links to Keys in Bladmineerders van Europa

753 Links to Keys in Bladmineerders van Europa were updated.

28 June 2019 - Links to UKMoths

UKMoths was updated in 2015 creating a new website. The species pages were renamed by substituting a unique id number for the taxon name. Links to the species pages on the old website were updated and are no longer available. This has meant my updating 2,426 links to moths in UKMoths on this website.

09 June 2019 - Links to Moths in Fauna Europaea

In 2016 the old Fauna Europaea site (faunaeur.org) was closed and a new website fauna-eur.org) created. Being retired, I was blissfully unaware of this until March 2018.

I had updated links to the 85 links to beetles and 1,068 links to flies before the old Fauna Europaea closed

Since the new Fauna Europaea website has re-opened the remaining 1,266 links to moths and 65 links to sawflies on the Home page on the old Fauna Europaea website have been updated here to the relevant species on the new Fauna Europaea website.

21 March 2019 - Belgian Lepidoptera

Links to 408 species Belgian Lepidoptera in Catalogue of Lepidoptera of Belgium have been updated or added. These linked species include an additional 922 links to named hosts in Belgium.
