ELODEA. Water-weeds. [Hydrocharitaceae]

Three species of Elodea are recorded in Britain. These include Canadian Water-weed (E. canadensis). The BSBI provide a downloadable plant crib for waterworts.

No miners are recorded on Elodea in Britain or elsewhere.

The crambid Parapoynx stratiotata feeds between spun leaves of Elodea in Britain and elsewhere.

A key to the European miners recorded on Elodea is provided in Bladmineerders van Europa.
